As Director of Research, Dr. Sheldon studies the development and effects of school programs of partnerships using UPDATE data. He is author of many published papers on the effects of school programs of partnerships on family involvement, how family involvement affects achievement and other student outcomes, and the effects of parents’ beliefs, friendships, and social networks on their involvement in their children’s education at home and at school.
