Brenda G. Thomas, M.S. in administration supervision from Morgan State University, is Senior Program Facilitator at NNPS. She provides professional development workshops for school, district, state, and organization leaders in NNPS. She is co-author of School, Family, and Community Partnerships: Your Handbook for Action, Third Edition (Epstein, et al., Corwin Press, 2009) and co-editor of Promising Partnership Practices, the NNPS annual collection of members’ best practices.  Ms. Thomas has many years of experience as a teacher, Action Team for Partnerships leader, district-level facilitator for partnerships, and coordinator of parental involvement in the Baltimore City Public School System.  For eight years, she served as Maryland Director of Partnership Program Development via collaborative grants of NNPS with the Maryland State Parental Information Resource Center (PIRC). She directed district leaders across the state of Maryland to help their schools organize, implement, and improve programs of school, family, and community partnerships.  She provided similar professional development for other state PIRCs and organizations in NNPS.
