One state department of education, four districts, four schools, and one organization are winners of the 2003 Partnership Awards from the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) at Johns Hopkins University. The sites are recognized for excellence in developing and sustaining comprehensive programs of school, family, and community partnerships.
Partnership Award applications require states, districts, organizations, and schools in NNPS to provide detailed descriptions and clear evidence of “essential elements” of teamwork, leadership, plans for action, implementation, evaluation, and networking. Applicants must be members of NNPS for at least two years.
Winners receive a Partnership Award banner or plaque, one free registration to attend an NNPS National Leadership Conference, and national recognition for their work in the education media, the fall issue of Type 2, and the NNPS website.
