Schools, districts, state departments of education, and organizations with excellent programs of school, family, and community partnerships are invited to apply for NNPS's Partnership Awards each spring. These awards recognize members that have worked with NNPS for at least two years, demonstrate high quality plans and practices, and make continuous improvement in their partnership programs from year to year.
The Partnership Awards program is not a competition. All members that apply NNPS research-based approaches to organize goal-oriented partnership programs and outstanding practices may be recognized. NNPS looks for evidence of Leadership, Teamwork, Written Action Plans, Implemented Actions, Evaluation, and Network Connections in well-organized programs. Award winners provide evidence of outreach to involve all families and specific activities that engage families in ways that contribute to student success in school.
Winners of Partnership Awards are announced in August. The programs that are honored receive an award plaque and national recognition in the NNPS newsletter, website, and the education media. Each award winner also receives one free registration for an NNPS Leadership Development Conference.
NNPS awards $500 prizes for Special Recognition to up to 10 schools, districts, states, or organizations that show sustained quality, leadership, and progress for two years or more. Those receiving Special Recognition are invited to share details about how they have organized, customized, and implemented NNPS research-based practices in their locations.
Eligible members receive Partnership Award Applications in the mail in April. Deadline: June 30.
