Each type of involvement leads to different results for students, families, and teachers. A few examples of benefits that have been measured or observed for each type of involvement are provided. The lists alert Action Teams to the fact that different results are linked to each type of involvement. Practices should be selected or designed to maximize chances of reaching specific goals that are set by each school.  For example, students' reading achievement may increase if the school provides parents with information about activities that focus on reading.  Different family involvement activities would be needed to help children improve math scores.
