Family Fun and Learning DaysBaltimore City Public School System Baltimore, Maryland The idea for Family Fun and Learning Day originated with one of the schools I facilitate, Harriet Tubman Elementary School, #138. The Action Team of this school planned many successful Family Fun and Learning Nights and saw how popular and motivating they were. The Action Team wanted to plan an activity that could include all the children, not just those who could attend at night with their families. Their goal was to create an exciting and stimulating partnership activity that would include all stakeholders during the instructional day. Ready! Set! Glue!Woodridge Primary School Cuyahoga, Ohio Parent Clubs are happening at Woodridge Primary School, and enthusiasm is very high! The goal of these grade level clubs is to empower parents to be the first and primary teachers of their children. By offering six meetings per year for parents of each grade, teachers hope to present the monthly curriculum in learning packets of home activities that link with school learning objectives. Supporting Arts and Academics: The AAA ClubDrummond Schools Drummond, Wisconsin Members of the Action Team of Drummond Schools are proud to see the results of their efforts in the formation of a new club to support student achievement. As part of a type six goal "Collaborating With the Community," the initial idea for this booster club at Drummond Schools came from the recommendation of a parent member of the schools’ Action Team. The parent was aware of the successful accomplishments of the athletic booster club, as well as the high amount of recognition for athletics in the school, and suggested a club to support and promote excellence in arts and academics.
