The National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) at Johns Hopkins University is pleased to announce that fourteen schools, nine districts, one state department of education, and three organizations are winners of 2010 Partnership Awards.. They are demonstrating how to develop and sustain goal-oriented programs of school, family, and community partnerships. At each policy level, the award winners are building structures and conducting practices so that all families are welcome at their children’s schools and involvement activities contribute to student achievement and other indicators of success in school.
The winning programs receive an award plaque and one free registration to a future NNPS professional development conference. NNPS makes up to ten cash prize awards of $500 to programs that show unusual promise. This year, five schools and two districts (see *) earned Special Recognition for their work and progress. In 2010, with a grant to NNPS from MetLife Foundation, three district award winners) (see **) will be Conference Partners, with full support for travel and expenses to co-facilitate sessions at the fall 2010 Leadership Development Conference.
