Orientation for Sixth Grade Parents

Students, families, and school staff collaborated to conduct an orientation to welcome incoming sixth grade families to their new school. All the sixth grade teachers, two parents, and two administrators brainstormed ideas for the orientation activity. The group decided on an evening question and answer session followed by dessert. Through two subsequent meetings, the group further narrowed the agenda for the evening. More...

Parochial/Private 8th Grade Student Program


Colerain High School

Colerain High School (CHS) receives students from two district feeder schools and eight parochial/private schools. Through the Parochial/Private 8th Grade Student Program, the school has implemented initiatives to improve communication between the school and students and their parents. Information meetings with administrators and counselors and tours of the high school orient families to the school. The school enrollment packet includes information about summer camps and school activities such as athletics, music and band, and clubs. Furthermore, encouraging earlier enrollment of the parochial/private school students enables CHS to mail them the newsletter that is already sent to 8th graders in the two district feeder schools.
