Senior Parent Night

Collinwood Middle and High School
Cleveland,  Ohio

Senior Parent Night celebrates families and students as they focus on postsecondary planning for students in their senior year. The evening opens with a brief welcome from the Action Team for Partnerships (ATP) chair and a presentation of upcoming partnership activities. Parents receive a handout announcing a January meeting to discuss financial aid and scholarships. Students present a special tribute to parents, and the ATP provides gifts to parents and students and holds a reception at the end of the evening. For the past ten years, Senior Parent Night has been providing parents of seniors with information about college admissions requirements; placement tests; the SAT/ACT; proficiency requirements and tutoring; job opportunities; military options; and senior class responsibilities. The senior advisor, the head guidance counselor, the Cleveland Scholarships Program, and the senior class work together to make the evening a success. More...
