Partnership Award Winners 2008

Seven schools, eight districts, two state departments of education, and one organization are winners of the 2008 Partnership Awards from the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) at Johns Hopkins University.  They are recognized for excellence in developing and sustaining comprehensive, goal-oriented programs of school, family, and community partnerships.  The award winners are working to ensure that all families are welcome at their children’s schools and that programs and practices of family and community involvement help increase student achievement and other indicators of success in school.

All winning programs received an award plaque and one free registration to a future NNPS professional development conference.  Ten programs – four schools, three districts, two states, and the organization – also received a cash prize of $500 to recognize sustained progress in program development.  All winners are featured in the fall issue of Type 2, #25 and are recognized in an honors column in Education Week.
